Digital Marketing Specialist

Written’s marketing team is seeking an experienced Marketer to help develop engaging content with a focus on SEO best practices to elevate developing brands. Using customer data, insights, and marketing automation tools, the ideal candidate will be responsible for writing, editing, and developing content for digital marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, research, create, distribute, and analyze content to engage target audience(s) across various channels.

  • Create content and execute marketing strategies that effectively convey clients' brand messaging, including website copy, blog articles, social media posts, email newsletters, videos, and more, that align with clients' brand tone and values.

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, target audience, and competitive landscape, and develop comprehensive brand strategies that align with their goals.

  • Develop brand guidelines and standards to ensure consistency and coherence across all marketing materials and communications.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in brand strategy and content marketing, and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify market trends, consumer insights, and competitive benchmarks, and translate these findings into actionable recommendations for brand positioning and messaging.

  • Track and analyze the performance of brand and content marketing initiatives, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and achieve desired results.

  • Communicate effectively with clients as needed, providing regular updates, progress reports, and performance analyses to demonstrate the impact of brand and content marketing efforts.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work that meets clients' expectations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Marketer with 3 or more years of experience in b2c or b2b digital marketing.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to craft compelling and persuasive content.

  • Proficiency in content creation and editing, including copywriting, editing, and proofreading.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels and platforms, including social media, SEO, email marketing, advertising, and content management systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand data sources, campaign logic, and campaign performance.

  • Exceptional project/time management skills

  • Passion and ability to be agile in campaign development, execution, and delivery of results.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects, stakeholders, and competing priorities

  • Ability to create both long-term strategies and adapt quickly to optimize existing campaigns

 

The ideal applicant will have:​

  • Solid understanding and experience building ads and campaigns in Google Ads

  • Understanding of how to gain data and insights from Google Analytics and the ability to turn them into actionable steps to improve website performance

  • Knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices (link building, content strategy, keyword research) and experience using tools such as Semrush

Schedule

Full-time remote, Monday-Friday, occasional evenings/weekends, some travel required.

 

Location

Remote (permanent resident of Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia, New York, or Minnesota).

 

Salary

Negotiable.

Qualifications & Experience

Mid-level; Bachelor's degree in communications, business/marketing, English/writing, or a related field.
