Marketing Specialist

Written, LLC is a woman-owned small business creating custom communication solutions to help businesses achieve their goals. We are looking for an entry-level, creative, data-driven marketer to join our team. The Marketing Specialist will report to the Director of Marketing and will be responsible for managing and growing the online presence of our clients as well as supporting overall marketing campaigns by building digital assets such as landing pages, website and social media content, and tracking performance through reporting and analysis. This self-driven role is a great opportunity to gain experience in marketing to government and commercial clients by collaborating with a dynamic team.

In this role, you will:

  • Support a high performing, cost-effective digital marketing programs

  • Contribute to the development of web content for various client websites, including written and creative content, maintaining site organization, metadata, and SEO

  • Plan and implement digital marketing campaigns to develop audiences, drive engagement, increase sales, and derive audience insights

  • Create and promote webinars and related registration landing pages

  • Collaborate with marketing content team to develop and produce content including new webpages, blog posts, and other digital assets

  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and provide insight into marketing activities and campaign performance

  • Support marketing campaigns across platforms by creating content in-line with overall social media strategies; contribute to creating marketing plans as needed

  • Conduct interviews, research, and collaborate with others to write engaging blog posts, articles, and other marketing content

  • Create engaging multimedia content such as videos, social media post images, and other graphics and/or outsource this effectively

  • Form relationships with influencers to further social media platforms and gain key media outlet placement

  • Regularly liaise with clients via telephone, email, conference calls, or face-to-face

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Strong writing skills, including drafting, editing, and reviewing marketing materials and other content

  • Hands-on experience and expertise of the latest marketing trends and techniques in digital marketing, marketing automation, and B2B and B2C marketing tactics

  • Experience developing content for websites, social media, and email campaigns

  • Experience in advertising and lead generation

  • Experience using web development tools such as HTML5, WordPress, Drupal, and Angular

  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop

  • Solid understanding and experience building ads and campaigns in Google Ads

  • Understanding of how to gain data and insights from Google Analytics and the ability to turn it into actionable steps to improve website performance

  • Knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices (link building, content strategy, keyword research) and experience using tools such as SEMrush and Crazy Egg

  • A team-player attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to drive projects to completion

  • Graphic design skills and knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs and/or Canva

  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS to maintain website features and functionality

  • Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas

  • Strong verbal communication skills for articulating ideas to colleagues and clients

  • Organizational and project management skills with the capacity to prioritize and work across multiple projects

 

Schedule
Full-time remote, Monday-Friday, occasional evenings/weekends, some travel required.

 

Salary
Negotiable.

Qualifications & Experience

Entry-level, internship experience, or Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, public relations/communications, marketing, advertising, English/writing, business management, or a related field.
