ASVAB Career Exploration Program

Since 1992, the ASVAB Career Exploration Program (CEP) has helped millions of high school students across the nation explore career paths and plan for their futures. Since 2015, Written has partnered with the ASVAB CEP to strengthen its national presence and better engage students, educators, and influencers through strategic, multi-channel communication.

Our Approach

Our team was responsible for the overall strategic direction, marketing campaigns, and representation of the ASVAB Career Exploration Program.

Our work included:

  • Industrial/Organizational Development: Our team of I/O psychologists established occupational crosswalks between civilian and military occupations and developed training for the nationwide workforce.

  • Brand Management: Written helped refine and maintain a consistent brand voice across all ASVAB CEP materials, ensuring the program resonates with both students and educators while maintaining alignment with Department of Defense standards.

  • Promotional Materials: We developed a wide range of creative print and digital assets — including brochures, posters, classroom guides, and event banners — to clearly convey the program’s value and drive participation.

  • Content Development: Written has produced clear, engaging content tailored to diverse audiences, including students, parents, educators, and school counselors. This includes website copy, educator toolkits, email sequences, continuing education (CE) sessions, and interactive activities that bring the occupational exploration process to life.

  • Social Media Strategy & Execution: We’ve developed and managed the ASVAB CEP’s social media content calendar, campaigns, and creative assets, helping grow a dynamic online presence that fosters awareness and engagement across platforms.

  • Event Support: From virtual info sessions to large-scale educational conferences, Written has provided end-to-end content and creative support for ASVAB CEP event participation — developing presentation decks, booth graphics, print collateral, and post-event engagement strategies.

Results

Through this long-standing partnership, Written has helped modernize how the ASVAB CEP connects with its audience, broaden its reach, and strengthen its reputation as a trusted, non-military career planning resource for students nationwide. Over 3 million ASVAB test sessions have taken place in the last five years in response to our initiatives and support. Our nationwide efforts increase brand awareness, program participation, social media engagement, and CTR to drive conversions.
