Cyberbullying Microsite: Educational Resource Development
Written collaborated with the Defense Personnel and Security Research Center (PERSEREC) as a subcontractor to Peraton to create an educational self-contained website (microsite) focused on cyberbullying awareness and prevention.
Overview
This project was part of PERSEREC's broader initiative to develop comprehensive insider threat awareness resources, recognizing cyberbullying as a critical factor that can impact workplace security and employee well-being.
Our Approach
Research & Analysis Phase
The extensive discovery process ensured the microsite would address real-world needs and fill existing knowledge gaps:
Comprehensive Needs Analysis: Assessed target audience requirements, learning objectives, and preferred delivery methods
Literature Review & Best Practices Research: Conducted a thorough analysis of current cyberbullying detection, prevention, and response strategies across various sectors
Stakeholder Consultation: Gathered insights from subject matter experts to inform content development
Gap Analysis: Identified deficiencies in existing educational resources and opportunities for innovation
Content Development & UI Design
Based on our research findings, Written developed comprehensive virtual educational materials tailored for maximum engagement and learning retention:
Interactive Learning Modules: Created dynamic, scenario-based content that allows users to explore real-world cyberbullying situations
Assessment Tools: Designed knowledge-check questions and interactive exercises to reinforce key concepts
User-Centered Design: Developed intuitive navigation and engaging multimedia elements to enhance the learning experience
Evidence-Based Content: Incorporated proven strategies and current research into practical, actionable guidance
Implementation
We created a fully functional, responsive microsite featuring:
Interactive learning pathways adapted to different user roles and experience levels
Built-in assessment capabilities with immediate feedback
Resource libraries with downloadable materials and reference guides
Analytics integration to track user engagement and learning outcomes
Results
The cyberbullying awareness microsite provides organizations with a comprehensive, accessible tool to educate employees about recognizing, preventing, and responding to cyberbullying incidents. This resource strengthens overall insider threat awareness programs by addressing a critical component of workplace security and employee well-being.
