The Threat Lab - Workshops & Symposiums
The Defense Personnel and Security Research Center (PERSEREC) was the home of The Threat Lab. The Threat Lab formulated and toughened Counter Insider Threat (C-InT) Programs that enabled federal agencies, the private sector, academia, and international partners to improve their detection, mitigation, and prevention efforts. Written supported the planning and delivery of a variety of virtual events for the Threat Lab.
Events
Domestic Extremism Workshop
This specialized program consisted of four one-day, unclassified, interactive virtual workshops that complemented a custom-designed graphic novel on domestic and foreign extremism. The curriculum featured expert presentations from leading researchers and operational specialists in extremism studies and counter-extremism efforts.
Counter-Insider Threat: Student Symposium
This one-day virtual conference featured fourteen 30-minute research presentations from undergraduate and graduate students with an awareness of the Counter Insider Threat mission space. Written designed a comprehensive evaluation rubric to ensure exceptional research quality and relevance.
Workshop on the Future of Insider Threat
The Workshop on Future of Insider Threat was an interactive, informative event for security and insider threat professionals. The workshop promoted critical and creative thinking by enlightening participants regarding the anticipated – and unexpected – future forces expected to affect insider threat over the next ten years.
